Lost In Plymouth.

I was training a new chap Friday night and he told me about his favourite Cafe in Plymouth.    So this morning I decided to take a Bimble up there.

Got the Hornet out of the shed of shame, yes I know I am going to clean it.

I stopped at Carkeel services and treated the Hornet to a tank of 97 E5 juice.    Worked out at roughly £3 more for a tank full so not too much.    Can’t say I noticed much difference but I suppose I will notice the mpg go up maybe.     Anyway didn’t want to venture into Devon with no fuel, they may not have such a thing up there across the river. 😳🤣

Also I set google maps going to take me to Hideaway Cafe, Faraday Mill.    All good till I get there but the road was closed, I tried to find another way in but Google kept trying to take me back to the closed road.    Turned Google off and proceeded to get lost in the back streets of Plymouth.   I gave up on the Hideaway as I decided I just didn’t care enough to carry on looking for a way in.    So once I got to Charles Cross roundabout I got my bearings again, as I spent 3 years at Uni around there, and headed back to Cornwall.

Stopped at the Tamar for a pee

Then went for plan B and traveled up to Kitt Hill for some breakfast.   A few bikes up there.

Nobody I knew, so headed up to Launceston then back down the A30 across the moor to Bodmin and home.  Did just shy of a 100 miles on the Hornet, bloody good bike, so much quicker than my CBF but quite a bit colder as well with no fairing.
I am enjoying a few solo rides now that Shadow has her freedom and my aged riding mates seem to have gone into hibernation.   Change is as good as a rest 😎
