Nute Posted Sunday at 18:33 Share Posted Sunday at 18:33 Possibly the most inappropriately named tool ever. They never bloody work. Tried to extract a mangled screw this afternoon ( not on a bike), half an hr buggering about with the extractor in the end gave up and drilled it and wound it out with mole grips. Has anyone ever actually successfully extracted anything with an easy out, if so what brand did you use? Maybe mine are just shit.
Buckster Posted Sunday at 20:20 Share Posted Sunday at 20:20 If the bolt is cross threaded or something then it is a problem, for the narrow ones you need carbide or titanium. I find a left hand drill bit often does the job better.
Pedro Posted Sunday at 21:00 Share Posted Sunday at 21:00 I once faked covid symptoms, that was an easy out to a trip to Spain.

Cheers.
Sir Fallsalot Posted Sunday at 21:16 Share Posted Sunday at 21:16 I got a seized glow plug out of my old Toyota Surf with one of these years ago never thought they would ever work especially when i felt and heard the snap but luckily it was the glow plug breaking free and not the easy out snapping https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/134983754614?chn=ps&_ul=GB&_trkparms=ispr%3D1&amdata=enc%3A1Dfzkyt6XQFu5r8csGgYDJg28&norover=1&mkevt=1&mkrid=710-134428-41853-0&mkcid=2&mkscid=101&itemid=134983754614&targetid=2425733423477&device=c&mktype=pla&googleloc=1007453&poi=&campaignid=21697391927&mkgroupid=162558106770&rlsatarget=pla-2425733423477&abcId=10027104&merchantid=101727036&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA-Oi7BhA1EiwA2rIu24ESh5w93lNQAJY4FAnXdb6gmbxai4lWC9HFkghMuXYHAddI2yLz-BoCjIkQAvD_BwE I tried them again a few years later this time using the smallest one in the kit but the end twisted off like it was made of cheese I also have a set of these for removing rounded nuts which i have had good results when using them https://www.amazon.co.uk/Thinkwork-Extractor-Removal-Stripped-Stubborn/dp/B085ZLSXG4/ref=sr_1_5?dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Ua8OlXngSvyrX3IsQKRuM6CadJTsTmiOaLk0eaxWvZup63wX-Hk0iUNrEA6ueEGlD6MEX8KLsoPGbSIDmeBUoMrUbuv1hQJ9IHCBmIcYns9Y2uau6zBmmKzxlWAjSzkdPaUigSUDvaGdYG46S1IQ4g94GE2k-3mlTxisCSl6AGp-OFi1HVZwjhIxOHTYpLk1QWQPd7n8XPywQEJX0bczxiCnkM1KqlW9zQsqMejiFAwUVgas8hbKVOt91DCUCW0z8YQfVjLj5Mc3hPKa2269X8pml0pdqo2VF-HcEKzMp4QG6i60i-97h1Q73vsfYrowMBhur3V8jlen8Jpz7zLE3vNUtBATG3psIv0kqumkbpnutb1YauSeRUOFJQhQAbMocZ7VPgIHKLijq9L1BwoJUpej3OpcVPYisEFUXq9HZK6cjEhO0idpz1wGPO1WqR_M.YeYe6MwsQB4NXymFR2pJjC9109ER88GhEZ-6WeE8ZyU&dib_tag=se&keywords=nut+remover&qid=1736111726&sr=8-5
Nute Posted Sunday at 21:40 Author Share Posted Sunday at 21:40 Ordered thanks, you only need this stuff once in a blue moon but when you need it you need it … and it’s bloody annoying when you haven't got it.
