Saul
It was Kitt Hill bike meet this morning so we Fowey geriatrics met at 9:00am and set off. Five in the photo but one more arrived and we picked up one on route. Me Honda CBF600 Andy BMW R80 Martyn BMW R100 Gary Triumph Bonnie 650 Paul Triumph Tiger 850 Mike HD Fat BoB? Summin like that anyway and we picked Steve with his RE Super Meteor on route. One route we saw loads of bikes all going our way. Suppose the weather and time of year meant it was bound to be busy. When we got to Louis I was shocked we are normally in the first 10 to 15 bikes there. Must have been a good 100 there already today. Anyway breakfast ordered and eat then had a look at the many bikes. I didn’t try to photo many but there was loads of everything thing from vintage to brand new. Anyway after an hour Andy had to go so the 6 of us set off to got to Kev’s place for a cup of tea, I thought Kev lived in Plymouth but it turns out he had moved to Bideford the opposite coast from where we were. No problem as the roads were glorious and pretty quiet. We travelled out through Tavistock then on across Dartmoor to join the A386. Again lovely quiet roads in stunning sunshine. Doesn’t get much better than this. Anyway we got to The Highwayman at Sourton. (Yes that one Six30). When Mikes Harley died. The engineer and electrician decided, after some fettling, that the bike wasn’t charging and the battery was dead. Anyway after an hour messing we gave up and Mike called the RAC to rescue him. So we carried on to Kev’s place again on through some glorious roads through Torrington and then Bideford. All good. Tea drunk, some chat and we then headed down the A39 to Bude for fuel. Then to Camelford, Bodmin and home to Fowey. Steve left us at Camelford, A stunning day out day out with some entertaining mates, Shame the Harley didn’t make it, I felt for Mike as he was gutted his shiny pride and joy let him down. Covered 157 miles, @60mpg, one thing about having the vintage boat anchors with us you do save fuel.

Didn't really get much time to catch up today.
